NEW ZEALAND GENERALS.
MOVEMENTS AND APPOINTMENTS. Brigadier-General Richardson, who has been commanding the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in the United Kingdom for most of the time that the field section of the Force has been on active service on the Western front, is returning shortly to New Zealand to take the position of Officer in Charge of Administration, which position will make him the officer next in seniorty to the Commandant. General Rchardson has been wanted in New Zealand for some time, but his work in England has been so necessary that the authorities have been unwilling to release him. It is now announced, however, that arrangements have been made which will enable General Richardson to come out almost at once-Brigadier-General Hart, who was promoted to the command of a brigade at the time the Fourth Brigade was organised, is coming out at the same time with General Richardson. The successor of General Richardson in the United Kingdom command will be Brigadier-General Melville, who has earned the reputation of being one of the best 'of the New Zealand brigadiers.
