The American steamer Piave, with a cargo of bacon for Holland, was stranded on the Goodwin Sanda Efforts were made to refloat her For two days she crew remained aboard- The vessel suddenly broke asunder on Friday night with a deafening report There were exciting scenes in rescuing the cvew vwing to the darkness and the failure oi the electric light.
