ARMISTICE
(pERMAN VESSELS DETERIORATING;: ADMIRAL CHANGES HIS PLAN. Received Feb. 3, 8.55 p.m. London, Feb. 1. The surrendered German veswcls at Scapa Plow are greatly deteriorating, the Germans refusing to do anything not absolutely compulsory. Admiral von Reuter recently signalled and asked permission to return home. The request was refused. Later he renewed the request, saying he was sick. He was then permitted to return," but found the conditions in Germany less attractive and returned to Scapa.
THE ARMY OF OCCUPATION. Received Feb. 3, 8.65 p.m.
London, Feb. 1. The Echo de Paris states that the army of occupation on the Rhine will be limited to a million men.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assoc.
