SPARTACISTS SURRENDER, TWO MILLION MARKS TAKEN FROM BANK. H*'"-' ■•V'g: Received Feb. 2, 11.55 p.m. London, Jan. 30. A Copenhagen message states that the Spartacists at Cuxhaven and Wilhelmshaven have surrendered. A state of siege was declared at Wilhelmshaven, and the Spartacists declared Wilhelmshaven an independent republic on January 27, but the people declared a general strike and demanded the arrest of the Workmen, Soldiers and Sailors' Council
The Spartacists agreed to negotiate, but entered the Reichsbank and removed two million marks to the barracks. Street fighting followed, in which the Spartacists were compelled to surrender.—Aus. and N.Z, Cable Assoc,
GERMAN AUSTRIA. -IATTACHMENT TO GERMANY. * Received Feb. 2, 5.5 p.m. Paris, Jan. 30. The Mittag Zeitung's Vienna correspondent declares that the Governments of Vienna and Berlin are arranging for tlio attachment of German Austria to Germany, regardless of the conference's decision.—Aus.
