BANKS' COMMERCIAL COLLEGE.
ESTABLISHMENT OF BRANCH IN
NEW PLYMOUTH.
Readers will he interested to nota from advertising columns that Banks' -Commercial College, of Wellington, will conduct classes in commercial and entrance professional subjects in New Plymouth, having taken over Uk- New Plymouth Commercial School, which was established last year by Mr. V. Duff, and was carried on successfully throughout tho year, confining itself to the teaching of commercial subjects—book-keeping, shorthand and typewriting. Under the new arrangement all the subjecta required for the university entrance professional examinations will ho included in the syllabus.
Two students from the local school sat for the university examination for the book-keeper's diploma in November last, and both were successful. Such an achievement, considering that only fifteen per cent, of the candidates throughout New Zealand succeeded in passing this test, is a very creditable one, and augure well for the future.
Banks' College has a Dominion reputation, having been carried on with an-nually-increasing success since its inception fifteen years ago. The direction of the New Plymouth branch remains in the hands of Mr. Duff, and intending students may consult him at his office, A.M.P. Buildings, Egmont Street. e
