THE LICENSING QUESTION.
TO-MOREOW NIGHTS MEETING. Attention is directed to tie Meeting to be held to-morrow night at the Empire Theatre, when representatives of the Moderate League (Messrs. Findlay and R. A. Armstrong) well plass the side of the moderates before the meeting. The subject is a most important one, and before voting on: it it ia.v/eH to fully consider and heaj ail sides of the question. The Moderate League representatives, who will address th 6 meeting, are both able and fluent speakers, vhc can be depended upon to put the side of the modcrates fully e.r.d cogently before the meeting. Indeed, as speakers they are Both worth going a long way to hear. Mi*.* D. M. Findlly, brother of Sir John Findlay, is one of the leading Wellington barristers, who has made a close study of the ■licensing question, whilst Mr. R. A. Armstrong is not unknown to New Plymouth audiences, as he spoke here last year on Second Division matters Mr, Armstrong is president of the New Zealand Second Division League, and his services in the framing of the pensions, separation allowances, etc., command for him a good and sympathetic hearing. He is perhaps one of the most informative and attractive speakers in the country, and should be able to throw a good deal of light upon the most important question tliat is the subjecl. of the meeting
