CANDIDATES FOR PRESIDENCY. Amsterdam, Jan. 22. It is expected that the German National Assembly will meet at Weimar on February 6. The elections continue in favor of ordered Government, The Majority Socialists have secured 00, the Democrats 40, and the Centre 35.
It is likely that Herr Ebert will con, tinuc as Chancellor.
Ileri- Naumann, who is regarded as Germany's finest orator, is strongly supported for the Presidency. The Independents are running Ilerr Eichorn.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
