I THE BOLSHEVIK ARMIES. STRENGTH EXAGGERATED. Received Jan. 25, 1.30 a.m. Amsterdam, Jan. 22. Reports that armies of millions of Bolsheviks are marching upon Germany are exaggerated. Thero are not more than 50,000 who have crossed the line Riga, Dvinsk, Vilna.—lieuter.

BOLSHEVIKS' PLANS. TO EXTEND THEIR PROPAGANDA. Received Jan. 23, 12.50 a.m. London, Jan. 22. It is understood that Mr Lloyd George did not propose that Lenin and Trotsky should sit at the Peace Conference, but that all sections of Russian opinion should be invited to Paris to express their views. The most recent information from Russia indicates that the Bolsheviks' plans are complete for an extension of their propaganda eastwards. They anticipate that India, China, and southern Asia will fall an easy prey, but General Koltchak's Omsk army temporarily cuts oft the advance. The interventionists urge that prompt support should be sent to strengthen this barrier. Reports from the Crimea state that Bolshevism is spreading in Ukraine, and that only prompt intervention will prevent the whole of the Black Sea littoral from falling into Bolshevik hands. The Daily Chronicle's diplomatic correspondent states it is believed that the policy of intervention in Russia is gaining ground. Lenin and Trotsky are desirous of peace in order to gain a breathing space so as to complete their plans for the world's conquest for Bolshevism on the principle of "benevolent penetration."—Aus.-N.Z.
