The monthly meeting of the Taranalci Land Board wag held at the 'District Lands and Survey Office, Netv Plymouth, oil Wednesday. Present: Mr. G. H. Bullard (Commissioner) in the chair, Messrs C. J. Ryan, John Healop, J. W. H. Martin, and N. R. Cleland. APPLICATIONS FOR LAND. Three applications for land were dealt with as-follows: — Part section 10, block 14, Aria S.D, ?1 acres (approx.), 0.R.P., Sam Smith, —Recommended for approval of Hon. Minister for Lauds. CORRESPONDENCE AND MISCELLANEOUS. • The Pateii County Council's proposals for the expenditure of thirds accrued to September 30, 1918, amounting to i;jO l'2s, were approved. The Whangamomona County Council forwarded proposals for £473 7s Bd, bein? portion of thirds accrued to September 30, 191S—Approved. The lessee of section 2, block 8, Mapara SD. (434 acres 1 rood 35 pcrdies), applied for a further extension of timft to reside on his holding—Resolved to grant a further exemption of six months. Mr. T Shcehy. Crown Lands Ranger, forwarded a report and description of section 7, acres 3 roods 24 perches), lately forfeited, and it was resolved to open '.mdur special tenures for soldier settlement It was decide!! to grant the lessee of spetion 4, block 1, Mapara S.D, (OtiG acres), a further extension of time to effect improvements, also further exemption from residence, as he was still absent. with the Expeditionary Force?.
