For the past week the Gorier*] Post Oflice at Wellington has been inundated with oversea mails, and the staff hag been working day and niglit endeavoring to distribute the accumulation which lias resulted from the shipping shortage It is stated that never in the history of . New Zealand has there been such an accumulation of mail, nor has one vessel < before brought so much mail in one tri^.
