Cable Assoc. STAMPING OUT THE REVOLUTION. Received Jan. 23, 12.5 a.m. Madrid, Jan. 20. The proclamation of martial law at Barcelona was necessitated by the discovery of a secret organisation comprising two hundred thousand workmen. Many of the leaders of the new revolutionary organisation have been arrested. It is believed the prompt measures taken will prevent a serious outbreak and possibly the extension of the revolution throughout the country.—Aus. N.Z. CaWe Assoc.
