TARAXATvI SOLDIEtSS ARRIVE. ' Several Taranaki soldiers belonging tithe contingent whicK came home by the fiuahine, reaching Auckland on Monday afternoon, arrived at Now Plymouth bv the mail train last night. There was a large crowd at the railway station, and the proceedings tiers, while waiting for the train, which was about 20 late in arriving, were enlivened by the Citizens' Band, which played a number of lively airs, striking up "Home, Sweet Home," as the train 4rew up .to the platform. The Pepnty-Mayor (Mr. W. A. CoHia) awl the deputy-eluurman of tho Patriotic Committee (Mr- 3. WChaney) were on the station to weles&a tho men, who were given a quiet, font very cardial, welcome.
