Four Australian soldiers, including a negro, entered a cafe near Montreuil and called for drinks. The negro conversed with the landlord and then covered him with his revolver, while his companions cleared the till. Gendarmes and police agents were soon on their tracks. The soldiers turned their revolvers against their pursuers, and a fierce bout, ensued. One Australian received a shot in the lung, and another fell owing to a shot in the arm.
