Received Jaa. 10, 7.40 p.m. London, Jan- 14 Tiie Pre3s Bureau states that the Shipping Controller announces that British ships completing voyages -iter March 1 at United Kingdom ports, or, in exceptional cases, at ports abroad, will be released from requisition, except when required for Government purpose;l. Ship owners are now frea to make arrangements for the employment of Bhips from tha tiiae indicated, subject to the Controller's approval, with a view to safeguarding essential imports and oxports lor the United Kingdom and her Allies.
It will be necessary for some time to maintain a 3ystem of direction ?ls to employment an 3 limitajian of freight Tate for enseritial commoiities. Power of requisition is reserved for use should necessity arise.
