Council of the Borough of New Plymouth hereby gives public notice that it proposes to borrow by way of specif! loan the sum of £40.000. The particular purposes for which the loan ia required are: TO provide additions and extensions to the Eiectric Lighting and Power Works either within or , without the Borough and to supply electricity, to acquire or provide in eonneccion with such additions and extensions lands, casements and appurtenances and buildingß, tunnels, weirs, fi re3eryoirs, engines, machinery and other things, to pay compen- ! sation to any person injuriously affected and any other purposes incidental or in relation to any of the above purposes. Tho sum proposed to be borrowed for all such purposes is £-19,000 at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 10s per centum per annum with a sinking fund of one per cent, additional. The proposed security for the said Joan of £40,000 rnd the interest and sinking fund thereon is an annually recurring Bpecial rate of (3|d in the £, on the annual value of all rateable property in the said Borough, and it is proposed to pay the said loan on the Ist day 0' APRIL 1931 It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising the Loan and the interest and sinking fund thereon for the First year.
