PROPOSED PURCHASE OF SHIPk j Eecerred Jan. 12, 5-S p.m. New York, Jan. 9. The marine workers' strike threatens to tie up the harbors and affect mora than 50,000 men. The New York Times' Washington correspondent saye that the Shipping Board officials have denied the truth of the report that the proposed purchase of international marine ships l»y the United States Government has been abandoned.—Aus.
