THE.BATTLE OF AMIENS.
1G BRITISH DIVISIONS DEFEAT 23 GEHMAN. Received Jan. 10, 7.25 p.m. London, Jan. 8. Sir Douglas Haig's despatch referring to the battle of ilmiens on August 8 states that twenty-three German divisions were heavily defeated by thirteen British infantry and three cavalry divisions, supported by four hundred tanl-'s. Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. and Keuter.
