'TPHE above Committee has been appointed by Parliament to inquire into and report upon matters tending to benefit and encourage the industries of the Dominion. The Committee will sit in various centres during February and March to hear evidence as to how existing industries could be stimulated qr new industries promoted, inclading any proposals calculated to increase production. Being practically a stranger in New Plymouth, I realise that it will be necessary for me to turn out the very best .class of repairs and sell only reliable goods, in order to gain the confidence of the people.
