The bowling tournament, which wr.a delayed by rain at the .eifd of the third round yesterday, was continued to-day in line tout overcast weather Section play in the Singles in not yet concluded. BANNER MATCHES, WEST END 'DEFEAT WAITARA. Four rinks from the Waitara Club visited New Plymouth yesterday and met the West End Club in the banner competitions, the game resulting in a win for tho West End team by 91 points to 54 point?, tho home J;eam winning in each rink. The visitors were hospitably entertained. The following are the detailed scores, Waitara being mentioned first:— Koskin, Kibby, Rattenbury, C. Sampson (s) 10 v. Walsh, Lye, Billing, F J. Hill (s) 24.
