ENCOURAGING AVIATION.
PRIZE FUND STARTED. ' By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The nucleus of a fund as a prize for a flight by a seaplane from Auckland to Wellington has been forwarded by the Hon. A. M. Myers, who has offered to donate £IOO towards a prize, his conditions being that the flight must.be made in a Now Zealand-built seaplane, by a member of the New Zealand flying school at Kohimarama, and that the flight is to be made in one day, two stops being allowed en route. His offer holds good for four months. The offer has been made with a view to stimulating interest in commercial aviation, and the building of suitable machines for long-distance flying in New Zealand.
