New York, .Jan. 6. Speaking at Milan, President Wilson said the people of the world must dictate the peace settlement, not statesmen.—Aus. NX Cable Assoc. President Wilson laid a wreath on the statue of Columbus at Genoa. A driving, hailstorm spoiled the reception. Nevertheless, thousands greeted the President and sought to shake his hand. In a speech from the Columbus statue Mr Wilson said: "Being free, America desires , to show others how they also may share in the. world's freedom." — &Z- Cable Ac&oe.
