AT SECRET GATHERING

Received Jan. 4, 1.30 a.m. Amsterdam, Dec. 31. Seventeen of the leading citizens of Munich were arrested on Sunday night when the police raided a big hotel where von Duhe was presiding at a secret gathering of plotters against the Eisner regime. Duhe, when arrested, declared his intention was to form' a town militia, hut when raided the plotters made desperate efforts to destroy compromising documents and drawings.—Aus. and N.Z.
