SOLDIER MENTAL PATIENTS.

September, IUIS, states:—We have dealt] with two classes—those who could be I troated without being placed under re- j caption orders, being held as voluntary patients or as military patients, and accommodated, with few executions, either at the Ansae Hospital, Karitane (near Seaclilf), or at the Wolfe Home, Auckland; and those whose condition' was such that t,hcy could not bo pro-' perly treated outside a mental hospital, and were admitted under magistrates' order. Some of the patients in the first group were on the borderline of tl:c second, and those who passed beyond that line lad to be placed udder reseptipn order and taken to a mental hospital, both for their own ™ood and the of I'to patients at the special hospital.
