OMATA SEWING GUILD.

The work of the ahoi-e guild had to lie suspended in November Owing to the epidemic, but v, ill be resumed early in the New \ear. It is proposed to hold i a meeting of all subscribers at a later date, which will be duly announced, and the question of the guild's future activities will be decided. We ask our subscribers not to cancel their subscriptions meanwhile, as it appears to us that our help may be more needed than ever before. Hundreds of men will be returning during tho next year or so, main' in need of the greatest care, and it won Id bo showing ourselves very ungrateful to cease our endeavors now for those who have by bitter sacrifices m many cases bravely done their part 111 ensuring our safety and well-being. The little we fir.d ourselves able to do can surely be continued a few months longer, and the Small subscription necessary to support the guild is not a great price to pay for the-great, deal wo have received. The fee- ihat the war 15 over will not justify us in hurriedly giving tip all .vork for the men, to assist will be demonstrated before long wo are quite sure. Until then, we a3k' all to carry on as before.

To those who have .steadily attended the meetings, paid up, and helped in any way during the phot year the guild oxtends its thanks. Unfortunately, our president (Mrs. C. IT. Moore) lias been seriously ill for sonie Tnonth3 past, but we hope soon to , hear of her complete recovery. The accounts fo? tie year ending September 30, 1918, have been duly audited by Mr Medley, to whom we also express our thanks.
