A SOLDIER'S LETTER. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Mr. Vf. -T. Mills, Eltham, lias received a letter from Sergeant Jack Mills, dated France, September 27, in which lie states they have been having a pretty stiff time of it lately, and were looking for a spell in England, shortly. Young Vickers is' just the same over here as a.t home —always clean and tidy on parade, and the most popular chap in the section. A brother (Alex. Vickers) got ?. nasty about * com a German anti-tank gux. and is at present in Broekenlmrst Hospital, England." He mentions meeting another comrade —Billy Pointon—at the g«» school, and while there young Mills was promoted sergeant. Young Mills has been away aj considerable time, and has had a very | varied experience.
