CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS. Christmas and New Year's Days will be observed as close holidays. On Thursday, December 26 (Boxing Day) the Post Office will be open in all branches, except Money-order and Savings-bank, from C to 10 a.m. The Telegraph Office will ue open on Wednesday, December 25 (Christmas Day), from 10 a.m. to 10 30 a.m , and from sto 5.30 pm. On Thursday, December 26 (Boxing Day), and Wednesday, January 1 (Now Year's Day) the hours will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 pm. to. midnight. The Telepli"! • lixxchange will remain open continuously. Private Box Lobby—Sunday hours will lie observed on December 25, and January 1; usual hours on December :!U (Boxing Day). Mails usually despatched on Wednesday will be closed on Tuesday nights, December 24 and 31, at 8 pm On December 26 (Boxing Day) Hie usual despatch nf mails up to 8 a.m. will be made. The reeeivors and posting boxes will be cleared accordingly. The Railway Travelling Post Office will run as usual.
A counter delivery of town letters (including registered) will be made on Tuesday nights December 24 and 31, from 8 to 9 p.m. Postmen will make one complete delivery only, on December 26 (Boxing Day). There will be no delivery on either Christmas or New Year's Day. C. H. BURTON, Chief Postmaster.
