Mr. Jo/wphus Daniels (Naval Secretary) issued a statement welcoming the American warships ' which will arrive 'from England on Boxing Day, referring to the aid of the American Navy when co-operating with tha British Navj, whereby it gave such predominance of sea power in the North Sea that the German fleet did not dare to invite suicide by offering battle.
Mr. Daniels snid that the united ef.forts of botln-iiavies typified and cementfad ttaywads between (Britain and America.—Aus. Cable' Assoj.
