The War Office has received a telegraphic report that the Turks in many cases grievously molested and desecrated the cemeteries on Gallipoli. On receipt of the details an explanation Trill be demanded from the Turkish Government, who gave frequent assurances that they would carefully safeguard the graves and cemeteries.—Aua. N.Z.
