DRIVERS' DEMANDS.
"" SUPPORTED BY TRANSPORT BOARD. By Telegraph.— Press Association. Auckland, Dec. 18. Drivers' unions throughout New Zealand have declined the employers' otTer to increase wages, providing the existing conditions remain unaltered The dispute has since been referred to the Transport Workers' Advisory Boar.;, which has decided to support the drivers in the claim for a reduction of hours, also a weekly half-holiday, an increase in wages, and overtime rates. The demands are considered fair and reasonable by the board, which does not see any insurmountable difficulty Conciliatory methods of reaching a settlement are urged, and at this end a further conference with the employers ha 3 been requested.
