LAND FOR SOLDIERS.
BALLOT AT NEW PLYMOUTH. A Fallot for three sections of land for sale or lease to returned soldiers was conducted at the Lands and Survey Office, New Plymouth, yesterday afternoon. The ballot was supervised by Mr. G. H. Bußllard (Commissioner of Crown Lands) in the presence of Messrs John Heslcp and J. W. H. Martin (members of the Land Board). The result of the ballot is as follows: Section 1, Block 2, 92a. lr. lp. of firstclass land situate in the Ohuxa County. —E. H. French, Tokirima. Eight applicants. Section 9, block 11, 353 acres, Ohura County, first-class land, —Leonard Bond, Hamilton- Four applicant®. Section 3, Mock 1, 02a. 2r. 3Cp., Clifton County, first-el aw land.—H. J. Fitzsimmoni), Eltham. Four applicants. There were no applicants for section a.
