TARANAKI SKIN, HIDE AND TALLOW 6ALEB. MR. NEWTON KING'S EEPOBT.| On Tuesday, December 10, I held sales of teh above to a smaller attendance of buyers than usual. My catalogue comprised 876 hides, 4t90 calfskins, 190 tins and 18 casta of tallow and sundries. Ox hides were la good supply, and sold at late rates; cow advanced %d to %d par lb. Farmers' hides, which were In poor condition, were Ud easier. Tallow In tins Is hard t) quit at late rates. Calfskins sold readily ai a decline of per lb. WOOL AND HIDE SALE. The Farmers' Co-op. Society had a fine sale at Stratford last week. Prices were extremely good, and the quality of goods offered quite in keeping with the prices paid. In sheepskins prices ranged from lod to 23d, whilst calfskins ranged from 16d to 22d per lb; yearling hides, to X2d 6P hides (butchers' or farmers') up
