ARMISTICE
PERIOD EXTENDED, RIGHT TO OCCUPY EAST BANK OF RHINE. New York, Dec. 16. The Copenhagen correspondent of the United Press states that the Allied Commission, in extending the period of the armistice, reserved tho right for the Allies to occupy the right bank of the Rhine north of Cologne if necessary.— Aus. When the British entered Cologne the newspapers appeared with a notification on the first page that they were printed with the permission of the British authorities. .Cologne wears a warlike aspect with British guns stationed along the Rhine embankment,—Aus.
