CONDITIONAL PROLONGATION
FURTHER DEMANDS, London, Dec. 14. The armistice prolongation stipulates that the 2i million tons of shipping lying in German ports must be placed under the control of the Allies to supply Germany with foodstuffs. The ships will remain German property. The British have demanded the surrender of the German battleship Baden, instead of the uncompleted cruiser Mackensen. Herr Erzeberger protested, but the demand was not withdrawn. TEE NEUTRAL ZONE. London, Dec. 14. The Allied Command reserves the right, if advisable in order to obtain fresh guarantees, to occupy the neutral zone on the right bank of the Rhine north of the Cologne bridgehead »ud up to tho Dutch frontier,—Aus-N.Z.
