THE EPIDEMIC.
A MAKURA STEWARD DEAD. Sydney, Dec. 18. One death from the Makura in quarantine has occurred— that of a steward named Grainger. A court of inquiry is sitting to ascertain whether any- medical offiers were allowed ashore in New Zealand.
