In 'Annie for Spite," the late American release featuring Mary Miles Miriter, Gertrude Le Brandt, who has the /ole of an eccentric millionairess, might well ba mistaken for the late Betty Green. Mary Miles Minter, the clever littlt ingenue, who is second only to : Okl Sun" himself in radiating sunshine, is the Annie-fov-Spite who is found in a New York department store dispensing stove polish, most of which 'finds its way to her smuggy little face. She io adopted by our millionairess, substitutes powder and Touge for the smirky stove polish, beautiful gowns for gingham dresses, motors for trolley cars and social honors for tenement simplicity. B\it, you want to see the picture that tells the story. "Annie For Spite" shows at the Empire to-night and to-morrow night.
