MR. JENSEN REMOVED FROM OFFICE. Melbourne, Dec. 11. A special Gazette announced that the Governor-Ueneral has removed Mr Jensen from office. INFLUENZA MATTERS. Received Dec. 15, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, Dec. 15. All the citizens' and soldiers' camps have been stopped till the danger of influenza has passed. The chaplain difficulty at the quarantine station has been overcome. Three, including Roman Catholics, have reported for duty under the conditions stipulated by the authorities. In response to an appeal to adopt precautionary measures against the possible extension from quarantine more of the public are submitting themselves to inoculation, but it is still anything but popular. Advice 3 from Fremantle state that altogether there were ten deaths among the patients on the troopship Boonah. SCULLING CHAMPIONSHIP. Received Dec. 15, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, Dec. 15. In reference to the cable' that Barry ,was prepared to defend the world's sculling championship, Paddon, the Australian champion, is anxious to meet Barry, but he would prefer not to row on the ■Thames.—Aus. and N.Z.
