ACTION IN THE ADRIATIC. 'AN INDISCREET MOVE, v' Tendon, Dec. 12. . The-n«w»p«per Guardian reports that? a serious incident was provoked by the action of Italy on the Adriatic coast ten days ago. Though perfect quiet reigned in the district the Italians insisted on landing 2000 troops at Cattaro (Austria). Happily the Allies secure*; tie presence of a similar number of troops, including French and Americans. The Italians, however,, demanded the lowering of ti>e national flags. An armed conflict was avoided by the lnterbention of the American commander, land the national flags remained-flying.
