' THE POSITION AT WAJROA.. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wairoa, Dec. 14. The epidemic showed signa of abating during the last few days, !»ut a nuinber of additional cases were admitted .from a Native settlement laVt high*. '• The : death of one European is reported. Only a few serious case.s are left. The Frasertown temporary hospital reports that only five capes are left and it way close in a few days. HOSPITAL REPORT. At New Plymouth Hospital on Saturday there werofour admissions—2 from Ui'uti and 2 Natives from Pihama, one i .of whom died an hour after admission; another Native also - sucewqbed. There were 15 discharges, and <S2 influenzal patients remained. On Sunday thcro f was one admission (another Uruti cfcse) and one patient was discharged- No death occurred, the number of patients remaining being 62.
