SECOND WAVE APPEAR& FRESH COT-BREAK IN THE NORTH, By Telegrapk—Press Association. Thames, Dee. 13, A second outbreak of the epidomio occurred at Karangahake, which was previously reported clear. Twenty-eight cases were reported oh Wednesday and 12 more yesterday. Assistance has been sent from Thames. SEW PLYMOUTH HOSPITAL. There were seven admissions to the 'New Plymouth Hospital on Thursday, and six patients were discharged.- There were two deaths—Miss Meade (84), head mistress of the Huirangi School, and who since the schools were cloud has been doing V-A.D. work, and Mies Jessie Oxenhaxn (13), of Uruti, DEATHS W QUARANTINB, Sydney, Deo, 13. . Three soldiers in quarantine died of influenza. HOSPITAL REPORT. At the New Plymouth Hospital yesterday there were no new cases admitted, but 8 Maoris and 4 Europeans were received from temporary hospitals that have been closed. Six patients were discharged, no death occurred, and the number now remaining in the Hospital it 85ALONG THE COAST. . All the hospitals along the coast'i'avl now ieen closed as far as with' the exception of the convalescent Xatlve hospital at Puniho School, which, it is' expected, will be evacuated in a few days. Yesterday, Dr. Wade visited the Native hospital.at Puniho, where there were 14 patients, and it was decided to evacuate this hospital. One of the pali- , entu was dioharged, five were sent to the convalescent hospital at the eahool, ana the remaining eight were brought into the New Plymouth Hospital, six of them, being transferred by car, while the ambulance from New Plymouth was requisitioned for the conveyance of two — a man and a woman. The only hospitals now remaining'along the coast axe the European and Native hospital at Rahotu, the hospitals and Convalescent' homes at Opunake, the hospital at Te Kin, and ■ the Native hospital at Piharaa.
