THE EMPIRE. ~~ SUCCESSFUL RE-OI'EXING LAST NIGHT. The popular Empire Theatre re-openeil to a good attendance last evening with a brilliant new programme of motion picture successes. Heading the list is the Mutual de luxe feature, "The Bride's Silence," with the gifted Gail Kane in the leading role. This powerfc! dramatic story gives the famous actress scope for some really wonderful emotional acting, and right through the story there is a sustained and gripping interest that marks the picture as one of the few first-class dramatic subjects. In support there is the fifteenth and final episode of the favorite serial. "A Lsss of the Lumberlands/' and the storf runs full'of thrills Tight up to the conclusion, which comes in a manner tliat gives everyone sitasfaction. The same programme will be repeated to-night»
EVERYBODY'S. BIG ATTENDANCE AT RE-OP£XJXG LAST NIGHT. There was a .big crowd in attendance at the re-opening performance at Everybody's last evening. The popularity of this theatre is not alone due to the excellence of the pictures submitted, thf splefidid appointments of the building, and the care and practical knowledge used in connection with the ventilating system when the theatre was built ail he'p to make the thea're one of the r.'.ost popular in the Dominion. The healthy nature of the theatre was noticed last evening, when, despite the big audience, one could notice the fresh and breezy atmosphere. The new pTogTamme fitted into the atmosphere of the theatre, helping every member of the audience to :i most interesting and enjoyable evenin e. The chief picture was a Fot drama, "Thou Shalt Not Steal," witli . Virginia Pearson in the leading, part, and this wa* supported by a most amusing comedy. - ' "The Soft Tenderfoot," iu which Tom Mis is tho fun-maker. It is an excellent programme and a happy selection for the re-opening performance. The same programme will be re peated to-night for the last time.
