THE EPIDEMIC.
HAWERA HOSPITAL REPORT, There is only one serious case among the influenza -patients at the flawera Public Hospital, and the others are reported to be making excellent progress. Two Maori children, from the Patea district, were admitted on Wednesday. One boy was also admitted. There are now 24 patients in th& institution.—Star. MANAIaT Hoßpital Raporti On Wednesday there remained two convalescent cases and both returned t& their homes. Last night, the hospital closed, so no Store pationts will be admitted. Maori Hospital: There were no admU sions to-day, but there was one deathJohnny Reuber, a resident of the Normanby, Road, aged 24 years. Then i» one serious case in hospital. Nurse Merrie, who has been seriously ill, is doing well, and hopes are entertained that she will soon be convalescent; also Mrs. John Hunt, who is seriously ill with the epidemic
