THREE MEN LOSE THEIR LIVES. Received Dec. 12, 7.35 p.m. Melbourne, Dec. 12, A sudden inrush of gas in a sewer at Richmond overcame a workman named Swannage and a companion named Aldridge. Passers-by named Quinn, Grif* ftths and Mills successfully went to theif assistance, but all collapsed. Eventually firemen with gas helmets arrived.
