Charges in connection with recent burglaries in the city were preferred against Patrick Gunn. The only evidence was that of diaries McCormack, who previously pleaded guilty. There being no corroboration, the jury returned a vel'dict of not guilty of theft and on the charge of damaging a safe, but accused pleaded guilty to receiving, and was remanded.
