VIOLENT EARTHQUAKE, Reeeived Dec. 7, 8 p.m. Washington, Dec. 5. An earthquake of tremendous intensity is recorded by the seismographs. It originated apparently 2500 miles south of Washington. The whole of North America was shaken. SHARP EARTHQUAKE AT VANCOUVER. Received Dec. 7, 5.5 p.m. Vancouver, Dec. 0. An ea-rthquake shook the eity early today. The disturbance was sufficient to shake people out of their beds along the | west coast of Vancouver Island. The Estevan lighthouse was damaged.
