The United Press correspondent aboard the President's ship reports that there is every indication that the President will declare for the reduction of armaments on land and sea, and that no one sea power can be supreme.—Aus. On 'board the steamer George Washington, President Wilson intimated definitely his intention, when in France, to make sacrifices for a lasting peace, and that armed domination by any one nation shall cease.—Aus. CAPTURED TERRITORY. CHURCHILL'S VIEWS OF DISPOSITION. Received Dec. 0, 7.10 p.m. London, Dec. 5, Mr. Churchill, speaking at Dundee, said none of the German colonies captured, or the Turkish provinces, should be returned. These must be disposed of by agreement of the Allies at the Peace Conference, in accordance with the wishes of the native population.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. and Reuter. LEAGUE OF NATIONS. A BRITISH APPOINTMENT. Received Dec. 7, 1- a.m. London, Dec. 5. A message via America states that Lord Robert Cecil has accepted the Government's invitation to take charge of the British section of the peace congress to deal with the question of the league of nations.—Aus. and N.Z, Cable Assoc. A JUST PEACE. CATHOLICS SUMMONED TO PRAY, Received Dec. 7, 1 a.m. < Rome, Dec. 4. A Papal encyclical summons Catholics everywhere to pray for a just peace, and promises that the Pope will use 'all his influence that Catholics will loyally execute the, decisions of the Peace Conference.—Aus. and N.Z. CERKAX DEMAND FOR INDEMNT TIES.
Received Dee. 6, 10.5 p.m. London, Dec. $. At Dundee, Mr. Ohurchill announced that the British representatives at the Peace would demand the absolute abolition of conscription throughout Europe.
Washington, Dec. 4. Diplomatic advices state that Germany is preparing to demand from the Allies, at the peace tables, indemnities for damage done in Allied nir raids, and also for damage sustained by interned Germans in Entente countries.—neuter.
