The Advisory Board of tlie patriotic societies lias decided to strike a levy of £SOO per year on patriotic societies of the North Island as a contribution to tlio Soldiers' Benefit Fund at "Rotorua. The board passed a resolution that the Advisor}' Board is of opinion it is not prudent for patriotic funds to he used to assist in the building of permanent soldiers' clubs
