It is stated that at Waitara there is a shortage of help in the Native hospital owing to 3omo of the volunteers having com acted the disease, ° Last night's report from the Hospital showed there had been nine admissions, including an out-patient (a returned soldier), three from Mangorei, three New Plymouth, and two Uruti. Of those dis. charged (1;>), nine had been sent to Kawaroa and six to the East End, the total number of patients !s?t in the Hospital bein.fi 137, of whom 113 were influenza cases. One death occurred, a child named Tanner, whose father is employed at the Wait.ara freezing works. At Kawaroa, the admissions yesterday totalled nine, a similar number beinp discharged, leaving 23 remaining. At the East End there were six admissions, four discharges, and ?A remaining. At the Maori hostel no fresh case was admitted. There were three discharges, leaving 14 inmates. , SOLDIERS' DEATHS. The following deaths of soldiers are reported, all except where otherwise mentioned being discharged soldiers: Reg. Sergt-Major S. Wilson, Instructional Staff, Trentham. ; Private J. C. Liveraedge, Fendalton, Christchurch. Private W. H. A. Scott, Napier (undischarged). Private J. R, O'Comor, Wellington. Private 13. A. Quinn, Riv erica, Taranaki (undischarged). Private T. S. Waugh, Tangiwai.' Private J. P. Kirby, Te Aroha (undischarged). Private W. P. Kelly, Groymoutli Captain W. C. Drummond, Dannevirlte. Lance-Corporal J. Cossgrove, Motherwell, Scotland. Private G. S. Morran, Matamau. Corporal W..G. Harrigan. Private V. G. O'Callagban, Fendalton, Christchurch, Lance-Corp. W. G. Gray, Gisborne. Private P. Millar, Island Bay. Private S. J. Danzie, Napier. Lance-Corp. Ben Iviri, Victoria Valley Private A. Scriven, Wellington. It was reported that Private A. J. Gridley, M.M., undischarged soldier, had died. A correcting telegram states that it should be Private Arthur Gridley, Napier.
