By Telegraph.—Tress Association. Wellington, Dec. 3.

The House today directed the Speaker to issue a writ for the bye-elections in Wellington South and Palmerston North.

Air, Massey said he would issue a writ in about- three weeks, when it is expected there- will be no possibility of a recrudescence of the epidemic. By law the writ will be returnable in 28 days, so the election will probably be held in s::: weeks' time.
