MOTOR ACCIDENT.
THE PAEKAKARIKI HILL FATALITY. In Saturday's telegrams appeared a brief account of a motor accident on the Paekakariki Hill, whereby Mr- William Frederick Williani3 (a partner in the firm of Jones and Co., scrap metal merchants, of Clyde Quay, Wellington) lost his life. It appears that Mrs. Robertson, with her niece, Mrs. Williamson (of Lyall Bay), went up early last week to Plimmcrton to her son, who was seriously ill with influenza. On Thursday Mr. Williams left Plimmerton with Mrs. Kobertson in his car. to take her to his home at Paraparamnu. As they did not arrive at their destination, a search party set out with lanterns on Thursday night, bvt s aw no signs of them, and it was not tilV-1 p.m. on Friday that a gentleman who was passing along the Paeknkariki Hill discovered the missing car, together with Mr. Williams, who had apparently been killed instantly, and Mrs. Robertson suffering from a, broken leu and broken arm. Tn spite of her ter-, rible ordeal, she was quite conscious, and was able to talk coherently.
