NEW PLYMOUTH HIGH SCHOOL.

ADDITIONAL GRANT FOR RE BUILDING.

The Board of Governors of the New Plymouth High School received the following vire from the Education Department on Saturday:—"Additional €1001) approved by way of subsidy towards cost of new building Boys' High School." This is rather a disappointing answer to the board's solicitations. At least CIOOO more is required jf tine school is to be up-to-date, and the board Was led to expect that this sum would havo been granted. It is to be hoped that further strong representations will he made to the Minister of Education to grant the remainder of the sum required.
